11 Days Uganda - Rwanda Cultural, Primates Tour

Day 1, Arrive at Entebbe International Airport
Upon arrival at the Airport, you will be welcomed by our Guide who will brief you about your 11 days tour. Give you a short tour with in Entebbe depending on your arrival time and later transfer you to your Hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Africana/Sheraton Hotel/Kampala Serena Hotel/Holiday Express Hotel/Excellent Hotel Kampala

Day 2, Kampala City tour
After breakfast at your Hotel in Kampala, the driver guide will come and brief you shortly about your day’s tour to Kampala.  After the briefing, you will depart for the Kampala City tour. You will visit places Namugongo Marty’s shrine, Rubaga and Namirembe Cathedrals, Makerere University, Uganda Museum, National Theatre and Bahai Temple the only one of its kind in Africa. Cultural sites such as Kasubi Tombs which is known for being the burial place for the 4 kings of the Buganda Kingdom, Nagalabi Coronation grounds, Kabaka’s Palace and Twekobe House.  Return to your lodge late in the evening for dinner overnight stay at Hotel Africana/Sheraton Hotel/Kampala Serena Hotel/Holiday Express Hotel/Excellent Hotel Kampala

Day 3, Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest
After breakfat, you will set out with your guide and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park in South Western Uganda. En route, visit the Mpambire drum village and also the Equator which separates the two world hemispheres. Proceed and have lunch in Mbarara town. Later you will drive to the Park reaching in the evenning. Dinner and overnight stay at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge/Gorilla resort/Gorilla Forest Camp/Mantana Tented Camp/Buhoma Community Bandas

Day 4, Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
After breakfast, you will set out for a short briefying from the Uganda Wildlife Authority officials at the Park headquarters in Buhoma. After this, you will align in your groups depending on which Gorilla group to track and will be assigned Ranger guides who will lead you deep into the forest and start your search for these endangered Gorillas. Once you have found the Gorillas, you will have to spend with them only one hour. This will be one of your unforgettable moments of your life. Return back to your lodge for rerlaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge/Gorilla resort/Gorilla Forest Camp/Mantana Tented Camp/Buhoma Community Bandas

Day 5, Forest walk.
After breakfast, you will set out for a forest walk with in Bwindi Forest. You will pass through different walking trails which will enable you to see various animal and bird species like the Golden Monkeys, black-fronted duikers, Monkeys, giant forest hogs and so on. Proceed with the walk ujp to the water fall where you will have a picniclunch from while enjoying the beuty in the forest. Return for dsinner and overnight stay at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge/Gorilla resort/Gorilla Forest Camp/Mantana Tented Camp/Buhoma Community Bandas

Day 6, Transfer to Ruhengeri in Rwanda
Aafter breakfast at the Lodge, you will transfer to Rwanda through the famous Switzerland of Africa. You will cross the Katuna border and head to Ruhengeri. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/La Palme Hotel/Kinigi Guest House/Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge

Day 7, Gorilla trekking in Parc Nationale Des Volcanoes
Early morning you will have breakfast at the Lodge and then later be transferred to the Park Headquarters of Parc National des Volcans.  You will meet your ranger guides here who will briefly guide you on how to behave while in the forest searching for the Gorillas and also will let you know more about their behaviours and ways of life before you set off. After the briefing you will enter into the forest and search for these endangered rare mountain Gorilla species. This is a once a life adventure and an opportunity one should never miss in life. Some time the Terrain is rough and muddy and this means that you as gorilla trekkers, you have to be strong enough and also physically fit. The activity will take like 4 to 6 hours and therefore you are advised to go with your packed lunch. Return back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Nest Lodge/La Palme Hotel/Kinigi Guest House/Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge

Day 8, Kigali city tour
After breakfast, you will depart for Kigali. Upon arrival in the city, you will take a short city tour and visit places like the Genocide Memorial sites, Local African markets, handcraft shops, shopping malls for simple shopping and many more. Later you will be transferred to Butare and visit the Rwanda National Museum and also the Old King’s Palace in Nyanza. Dinner and overnight in Nyanza

Day 9, Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
You will have breakfast at the lodge in Nyanza and later be transferred to Lake Mburo National Park via Katuna border. You will pass through the famous Switzerland of Africa or Kabale district where you will have lunch en route from. This will give you more time to explore the region. After lunch, you will proceed to the Park. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge/Mantana Luxury camp/Acadia cottages/Rwonyo campsite

Day 10, Drive back to Kampala
After breakfast early in the morning, set out for the game drive and search for early risers with in the park. Look out for animals like Zebras, Elephants, impalas, bushbucks and bush duikers, waterbucks, warthogs, and the topis. Return to the lodge for early lunch and after drive back to Kampala. You will have a brief stop at the equator for photographs and crafts to reach Kampala in the evening. Dinner and overnight at your Hotel in Kampala

Day 11, Departure
Have breakfast and then transfer to Entebbe international Airport to catch you flight back home.
