4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tracking & Nature Walk

Day 1, Arrival and transfer to Ruhengeri
Upon arrival at the Airport, you will be gladly welcomed by our Company representative who will lead you to the country’s capital city Kigali for lunch and later transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. Rwanda is well known as the land of a thousand hills and this is because of the country’s steep mountainous topology covered by thick equatorial woodland.  En route you will have a scenic view of the terrain of the terraced verdant hillsides and gradually ascends to the bottom of the magnificent Virunga Volcanoes. Dinner and overnight stay at Kinigi guest House/Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge

Day 2, Gorilla tracking in Rwanda (Parc National Des Volcans)
Early morning after breakfast, you will set out for the Gorilla tracking activity. You will start with the Gorilla briefing from the Park rangers at the Headquarters and then later set out with your armed guide through the transparent mountainous forest on the Virunga slopes to search for these great apes of Mountain Gorillas. You will have a face to face with the gorillas and be in their midst for an hour. You can take pictures, video coverage and so on. Later return back to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, transfer to Gisenyi on the shores of Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is the main water body of Rwanda and is also located a few Kilometers from the Rwanda-Congo border. Upon reaching Gisenyi, take a tour around the fishing villages and also the beaches around the town. Dinner and overnight at Serena Kivu Hotel / Palm Beach Hotel/ Stipp Hotel

Day 3 Nature walk

Go for a guided nature walk in the thick forest rich in birds, butterflies and monkeys. Alternatively go for a stroll around the lodge or for a community walk. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 4 back to Rwanda for your departure flight

Leave for Kigali in Rwanda via Kabale and Katuna, Time permitting, go for a tour of the city including a visit to the market, a pottery project, handicraft shops, and the genocide memorial. Transfer to the airport
